Why is this player being nominated?
I would like to nominate Abigail Hedden from the U15B Red team as Cochrane Minor Hockey’s Player of the Month. Abigail consistently demonstrates outstanding commitment, leadership, and teamwork both on and off the ice. When asked to step into a forward position, she embraced the role and immediately made a positive impact. She is hugely reliable on both the penalty kill and power play, always playing within the systems we are teaching and making smart, effective plays. Beyond her strong performance, Abigail is a standout leader. She is kind, motivating, and works incredibly hard every single shift. Her positive attitude and coachability set an excellent example for her teammates. She is truly loved and respected by both the team and the coaching staff. Abigail is the epitome of the teammate you want in your corner — hardworking, reliable, positive, and always putting the team first. For these reasons, she is more than deserving of recognition as Player of the Month.
