Why is this player being nominated?
Elliott is a player that gives maximum effort every shift no matter what the situation in the game. He is a great two way forward with natural offensive instincts, but also is incredibly responsible in his defensive play. His high hockey IQ puts him in the correct positions in all 3 zones on the ice. Elliott is very coachable and is eager to listen and learn from his coach's. You can tell he loves hockey, his teammates and being a Timberwolf. He is a pleasure to be around on and off the ice.

After an "off" game by his standards, Elliott and his coaches had a great conversation on how he can improve, then went out the following game and had his best game of the season. He raised his battle and compete another level and was rewarded on the scoresheet as well. It highlighted how driven he is to get better and how coachable he is.
