U15 - U15AA BVTW
OCTOBER PLAYER OF THE MONTH - CARTER LANDRY
#7 Carter Landry
POSITION - D
Why is this player being nominated? (Please describe what makes this player stand out this month - effort, leadership, sportsmanship, improvement, teamwork, community engagement/giving back etc.)
Carter displays excellent work ethic night in and night out. On top of being one of the most consistent players, his high IQ, and toughness shines through. Being an undersized player, he constantly shows he his willing to play physical, and he never shy’s away. He plays his game, every game. Off the ice, Carter’s leadership is one of “lead by example†and maturity. He’s a quiet leader. Everyone on the team sees the value in his game, and he’s not flashy about it. This creates a level of respect from his teammates. He will show up, strap his skates on, and do his job. Everyone sees that and follows his lead.
Highlight a specific moment or example that reflects their contribution this month:
It’s hard to pin-point one specific moment for a player who’s consistently great, but a good example would in a game versus the Edge prep school. We had a defensive breakdown, a scramble at the net front, and a loose puck in behind our goalie. Carter dives from behind our goalie, and clears the puck from the goal line. Then, he gets up, retrieved it, and safely chips it out of the zone to relieve pressure.
