Why is this player being nominated?
Scotty is truly deserving of Player of the Month for the positivity and energy she brings to the team every single day. From day one, she has shown herself to be a true go-getter—working hard, staying focused, and always looking to improve at every practice. She’s the first player we call on to demonstrate a drill because she listens, learns, and leads by example (with a smile that’s absolutely infectious!). Her consistent improvement and great attitude make us all incredibly proud to honour Scotty as this month’s Player of the Month.
Highlight a specific moment or example that reflects their contribution this month:
As coaches, our favourite moment was at the Sylvan Lake tournament. Scotty was working so hard and had so many chances to score. One shift she went out there and the second she stepped on the ice we knew she was scoring, and she did. One of my favourite goals of the season too!
My favorite moment was her scoring the goals the game before Christmas break. She put so much effort in and was so proud and knew she was going to win the belt that day. She pushed my hand away when I went to start taking off her skates and stared at coach Mike expecting to hear her name! And sure enough, he called her name! (From Scotty’s parents)
