The Bernie Fox Memorial Scholarship honors the life and legacy of Bernie Fox, a long-time CMHA coach, board member, mentor, and community leader. Bernie was a force of positivity who poured his heart into everything he did. He had a special ability to connect with people and ensure every player felt valued and had fun, both on and off the ice.
Bernie carried the same values into his career as a plumber and gas fitter, believing that success comes from hard work, mentorship, integrity, and a willingness to lend a hand. He understood that no one succeeds alone and was always committed to building others up. His larger-than-life presence made him a coach players never forgot and a tradesperson people trusted and respected.
This scholarship is a tribute to Bernie’s belief in lifting others up, the friendships he built, and the community he strengthened along the way.
