Email Scam Circulating - PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND

Good afternoon membership,

Just a quick note regarding a scam email circulating to CMHA email addresses, CMHA has reported this to Gmail. Please do not respond to emails from any of the CMH directors, at no time will our board members or staff ever ask a member to purchase gifts cards etc. 

Below is what the typical email looks like and if you hover over the email address it will not be an actual Cochrane Minor Hockey email address. Please do not respond or purchase gift cards.

"Hello! are you available to help with a brief task? Hope to read back from you soon"

“Would you be able to get an Amazon Gift Card purchase done for me now with your personal funds? I will reimburse you tomorrow. I am planning on surprising some of our diligent Board Members with gifts, I want this to remain confidential until they receive their gifts. Let me know”

“I need you to get something sorted out as soon as possible, Let me know if you are available now? I will be going into a meeting now with limited access to phone calls, so email will be the best way to reach me
