4th Annual Green Shirt Day Road Hockey Event!
On behalf of Michelle Hounslow Co-Funder and Organizer of Cochrane's 4th Annual Green Shirt Day Road hockey Event we want to extend an invitation to come to our 4th Annual Green Shirt Day Road Hockey Event at SLS Centre.
Green Shirt Day was created to honour the victims and families of the Humboldt Broncos’ fatal crash in 2018 and also to carry on Logan Boulet’s legacy of inspiring Canadians to talk about organ and tissue donation, to register as donors, and to talk to their families about their wishes. The first Green Shirt Day was on April 7, 2019, one year after Logan Boulet passed away.
For those who have been at our Green Shirt Day event in the past, you will know it is a welcoming space for even the youngest of hockey enthusiasts. We provide playing surfaces for casual, pickup road hockey games, special guests, door prizes, and fun alternate activities besides road hockey.
Our event is on Sunday, April 6 from 2:30-4:30 pm in the parking lot outside SLS Centre’s Fieldhouse. In case of inclement weather, we have space reserved on the playing courts just inside the Fieldhouse.
