CMHA Members,
Please forgive the length of this email, but it is important to go through it entirely.
Cochrane Minor Hockey Association (CMHA) continues to grow at a remarkable pace, with most age groups now at full capacity. This growth is a testament to the vibrant hockey community we have here in Cochrane and area. As we approach team evaluations, we want to remind everyone that this can be an emotional time for players and families. We encourage all members to remain calm and patient throughout the process. Our Board of Directors and evaluation team have worked diligently to maintain a process that is independent, fair, and aligned with CMHA’s brand.
Recognizing the growth and stature of our association, now one of the largest in Alberta, we have decided to adopt development models utilized by some of the province’s most successful associations. For example, we have looked to associations like St. Albert, which have achieved notable success. After thorough research and consultation with Hockey Alberta and other leading associations, we believe that this new development model will help us tailor our approach to reflect CMHA’s unique player identity moving forward.
We are also pleased to introduce a key addition to our team:
